CVISP Bus Rental Request Form

The Comox Valley International Students Program (CVISP) has three passenger buses available to all Comox Valley Schools staff for Comox Valley Schools business (field trips etc.). Drivers must have a valid BC Class 4 licence and a current driver’s abstract.

The daily rental rate is $175.00.

This online booking request form must be completed by the Driver. Paper, phone, email and in person requests are not accepted.

Note: The CVISP has priority use of the bus and will provide reasonable notice (typically 10 business days) should you need to arrange for a different rental. Buses are unavailable during July and August.

CVISP Bus Rules, Procedures and Terms of Use Prior to Your Trip*

Prior to your trip:
1. Drivers must provide and have with them while driving the CVISP bus a valid Class 4 (minimum) drivers license.
2. A current (within the past year) copy of their ICBC drivers abstract on file with the CVISP office.
3. Pre-trip inspection report completed by the driver and carry the pre-trip inspection report in the bus during the trip.
4. Pick up the bus between 08:15 and 16:00 weekdays at the Mechanic's Compound on the maintenance grounds behind Vanier Secondary School (entry off Vanier Drive). The compound is locked at 16:00 on weekdays and all weekend.
5. I accept and agree to the $50 cancellation fee and that the school account on my bus booking request form will be invoiced accordingly.
6. The CVISP reserves the right to assign you the bus that best suits the needs of your trip.
CVISP Bus Rules, Procedures and Terms of Use During Your Trip*
During Your Trip: 1. The pre-trip inspection report must be in the bus for the duration of the trip. 2. Buses are to be operated only on paved roads. 3. Buses are to be left at the Maintenance Department compound or kept in the care of the driver. Buses must not be left overnight in school parking lots and NEVER leave a bus outside the compound. 4. Aisles, exits and emergency exits must be kept clear at all times. 5. The number of passengers carried must not exceed the legal bus capacity (23 passengers, 1 driver). All passengers must be seated in a designated seat with a seat belt at all times. 6. Equipment and luggage must be securely stored. 7. Passengers must be off-loaded when the bus is being refueled. 8. Should a bus break down inside the Comox Valley during business hours, contact the Maintenance Department at 250-338-7475. 9. Should the bus break down outside the Comox Valley, contact the nearest repair facility. If the problem is significant, call the Maintenance Department collect at 250-338-7475. Repair costs will be reimbursed. 10. If the bus is involved in an accident, contact should be made ASAP with your school principal who will advise the appropriate School District officials. 11. All toll bridge charges will be added to the invoice to your school. 12. All trips over 160 KM must be entered in the logbook located in each bus.

After Your Trip: 1. I will refuel the bus to a full tank 2. I will clean the interior of the bus by sweeping and emptying all garbage receptacles prior to returning the bus to the Maintenance Department/Grounds. 3. I agree that my school will be charged for any cleaning services required. 4. I agree that I will complete and sign the post-trip inspection report and give it to the secretary in the Maintenance Department. Any damage to the interior and exterior will be noted on this report. 5. I agree to return the bus keys to the Maintenance Department Office. 6. I agree to return the bus no later than 07:45 on business days to ensure availability for the next user. 7. I will ensure all windows are closed and doors are locked.
